Mbappé irreplaceable? Laure Boulleau’s opinion

Laure Boulleau, the former PSG player, gave her prediction on the post-Mbappé era at PSG.

Kylian Mbappé leaves PSG in less than two months. The club’s staff pretends not to worry too much about the future, but it is obvious that this departure will leave a big void among the French champions.

How will Paris get by without the best director in its history? The question deserves to be asked and some had fun answering it. Among them was Laure Boulleau, columnist for Canal+ and former club player.

The Osimhen option does not convince Boulleau

“It’s not going to be easy to replace a player who scores 20 to 30 goals per season. We will have to think differently, in terms of the constitution of the workforce. The revolution went well for the 1e year. We will need a striker with a goals factor who does not go down too much, smart recruitment and also focus on training.”

Osimhen’s name is mentioned as a potential successor to Mbappé in Paris. For Boulleau, “It won’t be enough.” “It will necessarily be less strong with Mbappé’s replacement, but with another structure perhaps they will be able to have another midfielder. This season, it has been the Achilles heel of PSG”she added.

Boulleau then advised Parisian leaders to take inspiration from what Manchester City is doing: “All the stars are at Real Madrid today. So, it will look more like Man City, with a more assertive game plan from Luis Enrique.”
