Valorant: Fnatic back at the top of Europe

Valorant: Fnatic back at the top of Europe

Here is Fnatic again! After an average start to the season, this team, one of the strongest and most consistent at the highest level in the world Valorant last year, won Stage 1 of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) Championship Valorant Champions Tour this Sunday evening in Berlin. While he could very well have missed the play-offs by extricating himself at the last minute from a group A where all the competing clubs finished the regular season with an equal record, his five overthrew Team Heretics (3-2, after having been led 2-0) and could thus lift a trophy almost unhoped for just a few days ago.

On the road to the title, last week, Fnatic will have beaten Team Liquid (2-1), Karmine Corp (2-0), been sent to lower bracket of a double elimination table by Heretics (already, 0-2) before offering themselves a revenge in the final by dismissing FUT Esports (3-1). Very mentally strong on this difficult course, Jake “Boaster” Howlett’s men are back at the top of the EMEA region. With Heretics and FUT, they will fly to Shanghai in a few days to compete in the second Masters (intercontinental competition) of the circuit.

An important meeting in the race to qualify for the Worlds that Karmine Corp will miss. The French club, beaten by Fnatic and FUT, did not win a match in the final phase. Well read by its opponents, a little mentally exhausted after a very intense start to the season (but like Heretics, who seem to have coped better with the rhythm), the KC will have a month to breathe and work on Stage 2, the last stage before the “Champions” in South Korea. The road to the World Championships will perhaps be decided in these few weeks of preparation which lie ahead…
