Hopes: Parity score 31-31 in Bourg-en-Bresse

Our Hopes failed to win in Bourg-en-Bresse, finishing back-to-back against the Bressans with a score of 31-31.

The match report Jo De Bruin : ” Draw 31-31 in very heavy heat which impacted the performance of both teams on a physical level. Despite the heat, we were determined to produce a significant volume of play and maintain possession.

Our start to the match is not good with waste and sequences of penalties which leave Bourg-en-Bresse to take the score. The players lack maturity and we struggle strategically and have periods of lack of concentration.

As we managed to find our rhythm with effective ball carries and favorable momentum, we managed to cause problems for the opponent.

Now it’s time for the last match against Suresnes and preparation for next season.

We would still like to take our hats off to them. Faced with the more than questionable choice of the distribution of the pools made by the FFR, our young group was forced to make two very long trips to Bourgoin and Bourg-en-Bresse (More than 1,500km each time), then that other solutions were possible.

Despite this, our Hopes (players and staff) have never failed and have always assumed responsibility.

So congratulations to them and see you at Jo-Courtel next weekend for the last match of the season against Suresnes.
