RWDM will play in the Challenger Pro League next season. While Charleroi did the job against Kortrijk in the other Playdowns match (3-1), the Molenbeekois delivered an unworthy match against Eupen, already condemned to relegation (2-0). The RWDM had everything in hand to force the barrage but showed nothing against the Pandas.

Despite their defeat at Mambourg, the Courtraisians force the play-off which they will play against Lommel or Deinze.

After a good first quarter of an hour, and a three-star opportunity for Abe alone against Slonina, the RWDM no longer showed much. Even worse, the Molenbeekois conceded a lot of chances to the Pandas until the hour mark.

Hubert, Makosso, Marsoni and Biron do not have the average, Abe alone is up to the task: the marks of Molenbeekois after Eupen-RWDM

If the Eupenois clumsiness and Guillaume Hubert delayed the deadline in the first period, the Eupenois ended up opening the scoring with a solo effort from Nuhu (1-0, 53rd).

With their backs against the wall, the Molenbeekois were supposed to react but this reaction never came. Apart from a header from Gueye and a long shot from Mercier, the RWDM showed nothing in the second period. At the end of the match, the Eupenois doubled the score with a free goal from Makosso following a cross from young Piron.

Charleroi had done the job

In the other match, Charleroi did the job against Kortrijk by leading 2-0 at the break. On a penalty caused by Bernier, Daan Heymans opened the scoring (1-0, 24th), before the Namur native scored the second goal himself 15 minutes later (2-0, 38th).

In the second period, the Courtraisians nevertheless quickly reduced the score thanks to Isaac Davies (2-1, 58th). But the Carolos were superior to the Courtraisiens and gave themselves fresh air ten minutes later. On a corner kick, Sylla was attentive to the small rectangle to catch the ball poorly pushed back by Pirard (3-1, 70th).

Kortrijk didn’t show much in the last twenty minutes but the supporters were already celebrating in the stands when they learned the result of the other match. The Kerels keep their fate in their hands to stay in the Jupiler Pro League.
