A little over five years after the start of their collaboration within Scuderia Ferrari, Charles Leclerc and his racing engineer Xavi Marcos saw their paths separate. The Italian manufacturer announced this Thursday evening, via a short press release, that the technician would leave his position on May 13 to take care of other programs for the brand.

“Scuderia Ferrari HP announces that from Monday May 13, Xavi Marcos will contribute his valuable experience as a racing engineer within the Formula 1 team to the development of other important programs of the company”we can read.

In the wake of this first announcement, the Scuderia revealed the name of his replacement, who will therefore have the task, among other things, of guiding the Monegasque on the track: it will be Bryan Bozzi, who until now occupied the role of Leclerc’s performance engineer, and who will make his big debut in his new role starting at next week’s Emilia-Romagna GP.

“Scuderia Ferrari HP announces that Bryan Bozzi, who has been with the team for ten years, currently as Charles Leclerc’s Performance Engineer, will now take on the role of Race Engineer from next weekend, when of the Gran Premio del Made in Italy and dell’Emilia-Romagna in Imola.”
