Great outing for the Castelsarrasinois Archers in Pamiers

It’s an excellent outing that the Castelsarrasinois Archers have just accomplished with Aymeric Paës, Patrick Pace, Michel Boissonnet and Christian Paës as quality coach and steward. It was a trip to Pamiers as part of the first Regional Excellence Division team competition. A difficult trip because the tests started early in the morning and it was important to be on time. Difficult travel, certainly, but compensated by a magnificent landscape with the Pyrenees with their peaks still covered in snow adding to the beauty of the landscape. It gives morale. Morale that the Castelsarrasinois possessed, because from the start, during the selective shooting, they finished in 5th place and thus qualified for the afternoon. There, the team loses and finds itself in the small final against Perpignan. And then, divine surprise! While the Castelsarrasinoise team was trailing by four points and their chances appeared very slim, they ended up winning on the last end despite the wind and the cold.

Sunday 12 in Rodez

These victorious results show that the training in which archers participate regularly is beneficial for cohesion and confidence; now it will be the second round on May 12 in Rodez and the third on June 9 in Alès in the Var. Two meetings which promise to be difficult. But the more difficult it is, the more we believe in it.
