Fouré Lagadec and Naval Group, two companies in the naval sector based in (Finistère), have developed work-study training for the profession of equipment operator, in order to meet their recruitment needs, with the training center of the CCI of Finistère . Six positions under professionalization contracts are to be filled by the end of the year.

Recruitment by simulation

The recruitment phase, which will be carried out in several stages, begins with an information meeting open to all, Monday morning October 14. Afterwards, “interested people will be able to participate in recruitment tests by simulation, during which skills will be detected, explains Tiphaine L’Hostis, from the Union of Metallurgical Industries and Trades of Finistère (UIMM). The selected candidates will then be able to have interviews with recruiters from both companies.”

“The paid training, lasting 10 months, will take place three to four days per month in our training center and the rest of the time in the company, explains Sarah Le Baut, director of the CCI training center. Apprentices will also be trained to drive forklifts or construction equipment. »

“A strategic profession”

The job does not require any particular skills, but requires having physical skills, being organized, having team spirit and respecting safety rules. It includes complex material handling operations, manually or using machinery, on land or on board ships. For Pierre Even, recruitment manager at Naval Group: “This is a strategic profession, because the various trades in the industry cannot work if the fitters have not intervened upstream. »
