The captain of the Nigerian national team, Ahmed Musa, signs his return to the Kano Pillars in the first division championship in Nigeria.

Third pass launched for the former Leicester City striker. The 31-year-old joins the Pillars, where he began his successful professional career (2009-10) and returned in 2021.

Winner of CAN 2013 with Nigeria, Musa signs a short-term contract with the Nigerian team. He and Nigerian defender, winner of the CAN 2013, Shehu Abdullahi landed together at the Pillars.

“Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Nazir Laja and the rest of the squad have been training ahead of the 2024/25 NPFL Round 5 clash against Sunshine Stars this weekend”posted Kano Pillars on his official X account on Friday.

Having been withdrawn from the selection for several months already, Musa had explained the logic behind this absence. His return against Libya in a double confrontation as part of the CAN 2025 qualifiers this month is apparently coming.
