Patrice Evra took on a new role this week, that of consultant for RMC. The former captain of the Blues will appear on Jérôme Rothen’s show, but without meeting Christophe Dugarry.
And here is a new adventure for Patrice Evra. Retired since 2018 and the end of his time at West Ham, the former Manchester United player will begin a career as a radio consultant on RMC.
The former captain of the France team will appear occasionally in the show Rothen s’enflamme !, where he took his first steps on Friday evening, dropping a few incisive sentences
on Kylian Mbappé or on the Paul Pogba soap opera.
Patrice Evra showed a great bond with Jérôme Rothen, his former friend at AS Monaco 2003-2004, where he formed an explosive left lane. On the other hand, “Uncle Pat” will never share the airwaves with Christophe Dugarry. RMC will ensure that the two men avoid each other, explains L’Equipe.
Evra en froid with “Duarig”
Their clash dates back to 2017, with harsh words from Evra in an interview with William Gallas. “My brother said to me: ‘You have to take care of Duarig.’ (…) If he has a problem with me, let him come to Marseille, we talk about it, we discuss it, there is no problem…”, the former OM player said.
Dugarry’s response was immediate. “If he doesn’t make us dream on the pitch, he makes us laugh off it. He hasn’t shown us much since he was at OM. It’s easier to insult consultants, journalists or former players than to perform well on the pitch. No one is fooled by this player who becomes pathetic when he finishes his career.
