( Bull) continues. The leader of the Formula 1 world championship won the Miami GP sprint race on Saturday, the sixth round of the season, at the Miami Gardens Autodrome.

The three-time reigning world champion was 3”371 ahead of his runner-up, the Monegasque Charles Leclerc (), at the end of the 19 laps of this event. His Red Bull teammate, Mexican Sergio Perez, finished 3rd at 5”095. Second in the drivers’ standings, he is 27 points behind the Dutchman.

Verstappen, who remains on a perfect weekend in Shanghai (victories in the sprint and in the GP, pole position for the main race), therefore continues his domination. As in China, he was not worried during the sprint race. However, he was not completely satisfied with the behavior of the RB20, complaining at one point about a lack of downforce on the rear axle.

The Sauber team drivers also had no chance in the fight for world championship points, which are awarded to the top eight in the sprint. The 17th and 19th places on the starting grid of Zhou Guanyu (11th in the end) and Valtteri Bottas (14th) constituted, as expected, too great a handicap.
