Over the years, the Marguestaud trail has become a highlight of the back-to-school season for nature running enthusiasts. For its 6th edition, Sunday September 15, 350 runners and 102 hikers met at the start and finish of the village of Galembrun.
The Marguestaud trail is initially a story of enthusiasts: A close-knit organizing team which brings together numerous volunteers around it, all taking care of the athletes who come to face the hilly landscapes extending between the communes of Launac, Le Burgaud, Bellesserre, Drudas and Pelleport.
In the opinion of the trailers, the race is popular because it meets both their sporting requirements and their sharing needs. Even if the timer is on everyone’s mind, the atmosphere remains relaxed and warm, especially at the finish where, this year, a beautiful gourmet plate awaited each participant.
Solidarity is also added to this beautiful picture. The organizers presented a check for €1,000 to the Toulouse association AMA Assistance et Médiation par l’Animal) which trains assistance dogs to help people with disabilities in their daily lives.
