After another season below expectations, the Toronto Blue Jays have begun cleaning up their coaching group.

The Queen City team first announced on Monday that hitting coach Guillermo Martinez would not return to the team in 2025. He had held these positions since the start of the 2019 season.
The Blue Jays finished last season ranked 19th.e rank in major league baseball for batting average (0.241). In terms of home runs, the team finished 26e rank of the circuit.
Toronto also reportedly told coaches Gil Kim and Jeff Ware that they would not be back in major league baseball next season, according to journalist Shi Davidi of the Sportsnet network. Gil handled defensive strategies while Ware served as assistant pitching coach.
David Howell, another assistant pitching coach, is also being demoted by the team, according to Davidi.
The Jays finished fifth and last in the American East Division with a record of 74 wins and 88 losses.
