Interview with Michel Danjou

Michel Danjou, manager, answered questions from - on the ambitions of his team, Dinan Cycling, for the 2024 edition of the Tour de Bretagne, after winning it with Johan Le Bon two years ago.

What are the ambitions of the Dinan Sports Cycling team for this tour?

We are an amateur team facing 21 other professional teams, we will try to compete but it will be difficult. We run with team spirit, we are a united team.

Is the Tour of Brittany an important event for you?

It is a priority because it arrives in Dinan. We need to do Class 2 races like this. It is very important that a team participates to represent the city of Dinan. We are obliged to cover the costs which are not reimbursed by the organizer because we are an amateur team but we have provided for it in our budget.

Are you going to highlight certain riders on the team?

In the sprint, we have Damien Ridel and Florian Rapiteau in the roller who can make the difference.

Have you set a goal for this edition?

We would like to have at least one jersey, after getting the rush jersey last year. We are aiming for either the general or the Dinan stage, we will see depending on the appearance of the first stages.
