Having just returned from the French championship, the adapted handball team from d’ (Tarn-et-Garonne) returned proud and to bring back with them 4th place in the championship. For the occasion, partners, players and volunteers were invited this Saturday, April 27, 2024 around a buffet.

For this season, twenty players defended the colors of HBV2R in to try to win the title of champion of . It was therefore from April 19 to 21 that the adapted handball team from Valence d’Agen (Tarn-et-Garonne) went to unknown territory with one objective: to play on their passion and give the best of them -themselves.

To perform, the team meets twice a week for intensive one-hour training sessions on Monday and Thursday. It is therefore thanks to these tailor-made training sessions, extraordinary motivation and after fierce matches, that the section managed to secure 4th place in the championship, made up of seventeen teams in total.
In addition to this victory, the team came away as a winner with a team that was more united than ever: “This year, in Dijon, we really saw team cohesion, support and complicity that we cannot find anywhere else. We went through all the emotions, we cried, we screamed, we laughed, it was really something exceptional to experience and it really brought us joy. »
This team is proud of its journey: 4 at the start and 27 graduates at the finish, this is what they call “a very great success. »

To celebrate this victory, the Valencian club organized, on Saturday April 27, a Spanish hostel reception in its gymnasium bringing together licensees, parents, volunteers, coaches and partners, a moment for young and old, players and spectators, to meet, share and honor the sporting prowess of the adapted handball section.
The team was awarded a medal for its meteoric progress and their national ranking by Annick Lucas, president of the club; Bernard Groussou, deputy mayor and responsible for associations; two partners of the section, two volunteers, Cécile and Marc and Henri Duges, treasurer of the committee. As the president of Deux-Rives handball proudly explains to us: “This evening, we had to organize it quite simply to say thank you. »

Objective: the national gold medal

The team achieved their dream thanks to their collective and determination, but also thanks to their 26 partners. The club therefore wanted to thank each partner and its volunteers, in particular Mathéo, Timéo, Charly and Mathys, for having supported and helped them throughout this season because without them, “none of this would have been possible”.
This grandiose end to the season therefore only bodes well for next season with the goal of winning the national gold medal.
