Three goalkeepers from the Belgian championship are among the fifteen goalkeepers having achieved the most clean sheets in Europe since the start of the season. If Anthony Moris has become obvious, at the Union and in Belgium, Matthieu Epolo and Mohamed Koné are real revelations.

The Pro League resumed almost two months ago, the other European championships followed in the following weeks. All the teams from the fifteen largest European championships therefore played between five and ten domestic matches.

And while looking through the statistics, we noticed something: three Pro League goalkeepers are among the fifteen goalkeepers playing in Europe who have achieved the most clean sheets since the start of the season.

One of them even sits in second place: Matthieu Epolo. Having kept a clean sheet six times in the first eight matches, the young Standard goalkeeper (19 years old) is only ahead of Evgeniy Latyshonok, Zenit Saint Petersburg goalkeeper having made seven clean sheets in the first nine matches. of the season.

Epolo (Standard), Moris (Union) and Koné (Charleroi) rise among the best in Europe

If the third, fourth and fifth place in this ranking are occupied by goalkeepers playing in Ukraine or Russia, the sixth place is reserved for a second Pro League goalkeeper: Anthony Moris, author of his fifth clean sheet in eight appearances on the pitch at Standard last weekend.

Among the best-known names, we find Thomas Strakosha (AEK Athens) in seventh place, just ahead of Diogo Costa (FC Porto). Dominik Livakovic, the Croatian goalkeeper, is tenth, one position ahead of the very experienced Igor Akinfeev (38 years old, CSKA Moscow) and three positions ahead of Mohamed Koné, the Sporting Charleroi goalkeeper, author of four clean sheets in eight appearances.

Thibaut Courtois, who saved his net three times in seven matches, occupies 31st place in the ranking, tied with Hendrik Van Crombrugge (in six matches), Simon Mignolet and Colin Coosemans (in eight matches).
