Victim of a complete rupture of the patellar tendon this weekend against Villarreal, the German goalkeeper will no longer play this season. A tile for the Catalan club, which had a perfect start to the season in La Liga and which must now urgently recruit a goalkeeper in order to compensate for the absence of Ter Stegen. The names of Guillaume Restes (Toulouse) and Keylor Navas (free) have been mentioned, but ultimately it is Wojciech Szczesny who should join the Blaugrana club.

Relegated as No. 3 in Paris after the signing of Safonov for 20 ME, the 23-year-old goalkeeper would have rendered proud services to Barcelona, who bitterly regret having let Arnau Tenas leave for zero euros a year ago in order to to reduce its payroll. Without a doubt, the native of Vic would have rendered proud services to Barça after the injury of Marc-André Ter Stegen and could even have prepared the future of the German goalkeeper in the longer term. This will not be the case because for PSG, there is no question of doing a favor for Barcelona, an enemy club since the transfer of Neymar in 2017 for 220 ME. This does not mean, however, that Tenas will stay in Paris since according to the Spanish press, the one who is under contract with the reigning French champion until 2026 interests Leipzig (read elsewhere), and could leave the capital as early as the month next January.
