El Abd (44 years old) remains in contract with OR until June 30, 2025 and the club specifies that it has agreed to release him for the international periods which correspond to the 2024 Autumn Nations Series and the 2025 VI Nations Tournament. replaces Felix Jones in the XV de la Rose.
Joe El Abd, former 3rd row, finished his career with the Ain club between 2012 and 2014 and became manager of the Oyonnax team in 2019.
As a result, Fabien Cibray, coach of the Oyonnax attack, extended his contract by two years (until 2027) and sees his prerogatives broadened. He will now share management of the team with Joe El Abd before fully succeeding him from July 2025.
