Knicks (92-97): New York leads 3-1, New York belongs to
Descriptive text here

This series between Knicks and Sixers is crazy, ultra-contested. For Game 4, let’s not mince our words: we undoubtedly saw one the best matches of the season tonight. The Knicks won this , thanks to a crazy (47 points!!!) and an iron defense at the end of the game. New York leads 3-1!

Ugh, this absolutely incredible match! First, let’s start by discussing, before the sporting aspect, the atmosphere. The Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia was nothing short of boiling hot, with hundreds of Knicks fans coming to make a mess in Pennsylvania. The Bockers sometimes, no doubt, thought they were at home as the encouragement was in their favor. The worst ? Joel Embiid booed in his own throwing room! Enough to put all the players in this meeting in the best position to do some dirty work on the ground.

Well, there was some dirty stuff… there was some. Starting with Jalen Brunson, completely neglected by the Sixers defense. Enough to make him heat up very quickly, 23 points at half-time with the strong visual feeling that the boy is indefensible. Joel Embiid is also present, and in the absence of Mitchell Robinson from the Knicks, Isaiah Harteinstein is having a hard time controlling the reigning MVP in the paint. Tom Thibodeau did not ask to double the pivot on balls in the low post, Jojo is having fun. The intensity is enormous, all the balls are contested as if the players’ lives depended on it. The room roars with its love for sport, long live the Playoffs.

The only problem in this great evening of basketball? The Sixers rotation. First in the lead, the locals let the Knicks come back thanks to the changes of Joel Embiid and the other starters. Tyrese Maxey? Extremely well monitored by the New York defense, it is quite complicated to get out of the marking. At halftime, we saw a PURE basketball match, and the 76ers led by 2 small points.

Of course, we couldn’t imagine such a first part of the show without an equally hot second part. Jalen Brunson is very strong, too strong for the Sixers, and the intensity is increasing again. Shots were exchanged, neither team really made the break and we were treated to an incredible sequence of success between the two teams at the end of the 3rd quarter. Joel Embiid absorbs blows, stays on the ground after contact… whatever anyone says, this boy’s determination is exceptional and deserves the greatest respect.

77-76 Knicks, end of third quarter.

If you’re not in front of this match?

Stop.

Stop whatever you’re doing.

Donte DiVincenzo, Joel Embiid respond to each other at 3-points with very difficult shots, it’s just CRAZY. Knicks fans explode when Brunson ends the quarter with a huge and-one. There are 12 minutes left, the score is in a pinch, Jalen is at 38 points, this sick fool.

We want it again and again and again! No team is better than the other, it’s fantastic. The last possessions are unthinkable with tension. 3 minutes from the end, NY leads by 3 pawns and the Sixers make a mistake, letting 24 seconds elapse without managing to score. The Knicks defense is very strong, but the attack does not convert: 3 offensive rebounds in a row, no success.

KNICKS WIN!!! KNICKS WIN!!!

INCREDIBLE match won by New York in a crazy battle in Philly: 97-92!!

Brunson wins a foul in a duel on Tobias Harris, that’s +5. Two catastrophic sequences followed, with two complicated shots, Joel Embiid cut off from the game in attack, then a huge defensive error from the pivot. He leaves Brunson all alone, the Knicks leader rushes to the circle without any marking, almost surprised! The last seconds are choppy, the Sixers have a ball to come back but do not convert. The Knicks are very solid, 97-92 victory at the end of an EX-CE-PTIO-NELLE game!
