This game was to be read in blocks. First there was the Ticino domination of the middle third with two goals in 89 seconds between the 32nd and 34th thanks to defenders Alatalo and Dahlström. Then during the third period, it was the Grisons awakening with two successes in 18 seconds in the 46th by Honka and Frehner. Or how to completely relaunch in a very short space of time.

And the Davosians benefited from a power play to take the lead with less than five minutes to go. Only Fora compromised himself on the blue line and on the penalty return, Alatalo found himself alone in front of van Pottelberghe and Dahlbeck committed a foul.

On the penalty that was logically awarded, Fazzini pulled off a little gem by placing the puck in the top corner for 3-2. Marco Müller sealed the score in the empty net.

Andres Ambühl will certainly quickly forget this game. Nevertheless, the eternal Davos striker played his 1043rd National League regular season game and deposed Beat Gerber of the record. In total, Ambühl has 1264, six fewer than Gerber, but he should soon hold this record as well.
