It’s a real surprise, Daniele De Rossi is no longer the coach of AS Roma.
It all started last January. The iconic Jose Mourinho then coach of theAS Roma is sacked. The Italian club appoints Daniele De Rossi as interim coach until the end of the season. The former midfielder is doing quite well. In the meantime, a new sports director has arrived at the Louve. This is Florent Ghisolfi who arrives from OGC Nice.
The man confirms Daniele De Rossi for a new start. Together, the two men recruit strong players like the top scorer of La Liga last season Artem Dovbyk. However, Roma, called upon to compete with the big names of Serie A such as Juventus, Inter and AC Milan, already finds itself lagging behind.
For the start of the season, the Giallorossi are only 16th out of 20 teams in the league. Daniel De Rossi has a pitiful result of 3 draws and 1 defeat in four games. A lack of results which was therefore fatal for him.
“AS Roma announces that it has relieved Daniele De Rossi of his position as head coach of the first team. The club’s decision is taken in the interest of the team, in order to be able to quickly get back on track, at a time when the season is only just beginning.“, we can read in the Roma press release.
