With a group of 18 good quality players, CO Cerizay presents a homogeneous team which plays the leading roles in the departmental championship (D3).
With good results to back it up, which delight coach Thomas Chapterau and his assistant Michel Pirès, as well as loyal supporting manager Claude Paillat, the team is still in the running for a move up to D2 and intends to shine in Poitou Cup.
The wish of the presidents of the COC, Alexandre Micheneau and Bertrand Gonnord, is that the good behavior of this women’s team will be emulated among the youngest in order to present teams and, in the medium term, get closer to the regional level.
The high level path
Recently, the team showed off its new jersey and it was an opportunity for COC leaders to honor the partners who support these women.
It should also be noted that the Cerizéennes footballers do not forget those who have chosen the path of a higher footballing level, in particular Léonie Gauvin who plays at the regional level in La Rochelle but especially Clélia Favennec who stands out at the National level in the team U19 of the Nantes Football Club.
