Guerschon Yabusele could return to the NBA, with the Philadelphia Sixers

Facing the United States was worth it. According to ESPN and NBC, Frenchman Guerschon Yabusele, who distinguished himself during the Olympic tournament with a masterful dunk on world basketball star LeBron James, is preparing to return to the NBA with a one-year, $2.1 million contract with the Philadelphia Sixers.

Playing for Real Madrid since 2021, after a brief stint in the NBA with the Boston Celtics in 2016, where he only played 16 games, the 2.04m, 123kg Frenchman could likely make his return to the American courts next season.

With the additions of Paul George, Caleb Martin, Andre Drummond and Eric Gordon, Philadelphia’s team has been significantly strengthened. A power forward position remains to be filled, but with the potential addition of Yabusele, the Sixers would be able to close out their transfer window.

During the Olympics, the 28-year-old pillar was one of the key figures of the French team, achieving high-level performances with 22, 17 and 20 points respectively against Canada, Germany and the United States.
