Eat well with Pas-de-

Whether it is their growth or their academic success, for middle school students, eating well is a crucial issue. Aware of the importance for young people to have access to food adapted to their needs, the Department has chosen to continue its work of constantly improving the quality of the school catering offer offered in the Pas -de-.

Community commitment hammered out as part of its mandate project, the community wishes to continue to offer all college students a balanced, sustainable and quality diet at an affordable price.

Fresh, local and organic products

When it comes to food, the importance of the quality of the products chosen by chefs to concoct their dish no longer needs to be demonstrated, both in terms of taste and nutritional intake. For this reason, the Department maintains a careful commitment to increase the share of ingredients from local and organic farming. An approach that benefits everyone to the extent that responsible public procurement focused on local stakeholders makes it possible to guarantee quality food for college students, at a reasonable price for their parents, while helping to support local farmers keen to develop practices more respectful of the environment and biodiversity.
