This is the situation in Germany, where the first experience of Martin Terrier (27 years old) abroad turns into a nightmare. Out injured during the meeting between Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday (3-1), he suffers from a serious injury. Through a press release, his club announces that it
“torn his right Achilles tendon”injury whose nature was confirmed by an MRI carried out this Sunday. Consequently, his package until the end of the season was made official: “Bayer 04 will have to do without Martin Terrier for the rest of the 2024/25 season”specifies the German team.
The French striker, trained at LOSC, will have to undergo surgery this Monday. He will then follow a long rehabilitation program. “It’s a big blow for Martin and also for us as a club. But we will support him as much as we can. The same thing happened to Charles Aránguiz and after his injury he also became a top player at Bayer 04”commented Simon Rolfes, sports director.
Recruited for around twenty million euros this summer, Martin Terrier will have had a particularly frustrating first year in Germany (20 appearances, 723 minutes). He is linked until June 2029 with Bayer Leverkusen.
