In L'Equipe and Paroles d'ex, the former Girondins de midfielder, Eduardo Costawho is now in possession of his coaching diplomas, answered the media's traditional questions. When asked who was the craziest player he played with during his career, he named two inseparable ones.

“Jean-Claude Darcheville and Pascal Feindouno (his teammates in Bordeaux between 2002 and 2004). They were inseparable. Two clowns who spent their time joking, going out, acting crazy. I liked them. Feindouno was a real crack, a phenomenon. In today’s football, he would be worth millions and all the big clubs would snap him up”;

Then he was asked to give “the biggest fight.” And of course, this is his real clash with Bordeaux Christophe Dugarry. Today, looking back, he regrets what happened.

“With Dugarry, we warmed up on the pitch then in the locker room, at Anderlecht (2-2, December 12, 2002, in the UEFA Cup). I'm not proud of it but in the heat of the moment, I broke down. He thought I was disrespecting him. Even though I was young, I had a temper. Today, I wouldn't have acted like that. It was a real fight. We never spoke again after that. Fighting with your captain is ugly and I was labeled a bad boy in the industry. However, I am a nice boy, who has a good heart.”
