Two minutes are enough for Liverpool, LOSC is warned for the Champions League

Muzzled for 90 minutes, Liverpool struck during the period when LOSC was fragile to break Brentford (0-2). Darwin Nunez scored twice in added time.

Neutralized during its last two outings, following the grueling Boxing Day, Liverpool resumed its march forward this Saturday, three days before meeting LOSC during the seventh day of the Champions League league phase. The Reds sought a valuable success on the Brentford pitch (0-2), and the least we can say is that this result took time to emerge.

These are the kind of victories that count in a title race. Dominant, but lacking ideas (37 shots attempted) when entering the last twenty meters, Liverpool were not far from conceding a third draw in a row in the Premier League. His supporters then exploded with joy when Darwin Nunez, alone at 5m50 receiving a cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold, shook the net at close range (90+1′). He doubled the lead a few minutes later (90+3′) following a counter initiated by Federic Chiesa and Harvey Eliott. The danger can therefore come from anywhere among the Reds, even from the sidelines. The proof with this success (0-2) pocketed at Brentford.

Undisputed leader in the Champions League, a scene on which the Mastiffs will obviously have to bare their fangs and show mistrust until the final whistle, Liverpool is also in the Premier League with, provisionally, seven points ahead of Arsenal, his dolphin.
