Mercato: Arnaud Pouille comments on the future of Frederic Massara
After a failed summer transfer window, sporting director Frederic Massara is in a complicated situation. In an interview with Ouest-France, Arnaud Pouille spoke about the future of his DS.
Nearly 12 recruits arrived last summer, and it's difficult to say that any of them were satisfactory. Worse, six months after this summer transfer window, two of them, Albert Gronbaek and Glen Kamara, were asked to train on the sidelines of the group.
Asked by Ouest-France about a possible early departure of Frederic Massara, Arnaud Pouille confides, “I know these rumors, about him or others… Already, without being angelic, Frederic is a good person, a human being touched in his pride, who is aware of his participation in certain decisions which were not the happier since last June. He's not in denial. He also has his level of expertise in this profession. It's like with the players: let's stick together, be aware of our mistakes, take responsibility for them, and try to repair them, by taking profiles in the transfer window that are more in line with the club's DNA. This is our level of exchanges. If we are not, as leaders, the way we want the players to be on the pitch, explain to me where we are going? »
-The leader continues. “Yes, we all have to do better, but no one can blame someone else, believing that there is a single event that caused this situation… I will always make decisions if necessary, but the urgency is to stick together and show something else on the pitch. »
