Arriving last summer at PSG for 40 million euros, Willian Pacho chose to play with number 51, as during his time in Belgium with Royal Antwerp. A personal choice that the Ecuadorian defender explained in an interview with the club media.
After only one season in Germany, on the side of l'Eintracht Francfort, Willian Pacho took charge of PSG for €40M. Since then, the Ecuadorian international has quickly found his place in the Parisian defense, making 24 appearances to date in the red and blue jersey, adorned with the number 51. Questioned by the club's media, Willian Pacho revealed the reasons which pushed him to play with this atypical number.

« This is the number I wore when I played for my first club. A number that I had a lot of success with, so I stuck with it. And also because my mother left us when she was 51. So I always wear this number », confides the Ecuadorian, proud to have been able to sign with PSG to the point of quickly announcing the news to those close to him.
