PSG and Gianluigi Donnarumma could part ways in the coming weeks. The Italian goalkeeper is no longer unanimous and is considering a return to Italy.
Gianluigi Donnarumma arrived with great fanfare at PSG in 2021. The Italian goalkeeper was expected to bring calm and serenity to the capital club during major meetings in the Champions League. If the talent of the Italian international goalkeeper is undeniable, his shortcomings in the air and in his kicking game have often been detrimental to Paris Saint-Germain. So much so that the Ile-de-France residents are now considering a future without him. His contract extension has also been frozen and a departure seems more and more likely next summer. Unless a huge surprise arrives this winter.
Donnarumma wants to return to Italy, Milan extends their arms to him
According to information from Corriere della SeraGigio Donnarumma wishes more than ever to return to Italy. Serie A wasted no time in responding to his wish as Inter Milan are on the lookout to sign him. The media adds that a movement this winter is nevertheless described as “utopian” by the Italian club even if the first contacts have taken place. Note that the Italian goalkeeper's contract ends in June 2026 with PSG. This will undoubtedly be one of the issues to follow next summer in the transfer window. If he returned to Italy, especially to Inter, the reception from AC Milan fans could be particularly hostile towards him, as was already the case during his free departure for Paris. For its part, and even if it still counts on Matvey Safonov, the capital club has its mind turned towards Lucas Chevalier. Sports Zone indicated this Monday that Paris is making it a priority during the offseason. The LOSC goalkeeper is also appreciated in England and wants a future in a more ambitious club at the highest level than the northern team.
