90 million for Kvaratskhelia, PSG fined

PSG's priority during this winter transfer window, Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia is one step away from the capital club according to L'Equipe. But the Italian press is less categorical and mentions negotiations still underway on the price to pay for the transfer of the Georgian international.

Looking for reinforcement in the offensive sector during this winter transfer window, Saint-Germain has set its sights on Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia. The Naples striker is no longer essential in the eyes of Antonio Conte, which is why the current leader of Serie A opened the door to his departure this January. Negotiations have been underway for several days between Naples and PSG in the hope of finding an agreement as quickly as possible and according to L'Equipe, a signing in the middle of the week is hoped for against 65 to 70 million euros.

Naples still hopes to recover 90 ME for Kvaratskhelia

The Italian press, however, is more cautious at the start of the week. And as proof, Il Mattino reveals that Paris Saint-Germain's latest offer amounted to around 60 million euros… but it was refused by Aurelio de Laurentiis. According to the Italian newspaper, the president of Napoli does not want to hear about Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia leaving at this price. And against all expectations, the Neapolitan club would still demand the initial sum, namely 90 million euros, to agree to part with its 23-year-old left winger.

Milan Skriniar and Randal Kolo Muani, who are mentioned as possible bargaining chips in order to lower the price of Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia, would not interest the Neapolitan club according to Il Mattino. A big turnaround which, if it were to be confirmed, would significantly complicate the deal because PSG does not intend to raise 90 million euros for the arrival of number 77 from Naples during this winter transfer window. The daily specifies that to compensate for a possible departure of its Georgian star, Napoli has already activated several avenues including those leading to Edon Zhegrova and Alejandro Garnacho.
