Waldemar Kita targets a former OM midfielder

Jean Onana is going through a complicated period with Besiktas. After a six-month loan to Olympique de during the second half of last season, where he played 14 matches and scored one goal, the Cameroonian midfielder failed to establish himself in Turkey. Since the start of the season, Onana has only played three league matches and has not been called up since the end of September. Under contract until 2027, his future in Istanbul seems blocked.

FC looking for reinforcements in the middle

Faced with this situation, FC Nantes would be closely interested in Jean Onana. According to Foot Marketthe Canaries are considering a six-month loan to strengthen their midfield. Antoine Kombouaré, recently returned to the Nantes bench, wants to solidify his midfield, and Onana could be the missing piece. The club is also exploring Eliot Matazo from AS Monaco, but Onana’s situation could facilitate negotiations.

A rebound opportunity for the Cameroonian

For Jean Onana, this return to Ligue 1 would represent a real opportunity to relaunch his career in an environment he knows well. With his experiences in , , and Marseille, the Indomitable Lion (10 caps) already has solid experience in the French championship. A loan to FC Nantes could allow him to regain playing time and establish himself as an executive within the Nantes squad.

Supporter of En Avant de Guingamp, the best of the Breton clubs, I prefer to meet Yannis Salibur, Cristophe Kerbrat or Jeremy Sorbon rather than Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or Sergio Ramos.
