[Mercato] Ruben Aguilar, a return to still considered

The Hérault Sport Club, in search of stability and reinforcements for this winter transfer window, is multiplying its reflections and avenues to compensate for its deficiencies. Mohamed Toubache-Ter recently revealed several pieces of information during a Space on Twitter, shedding light on the club’s intentions.

Among the priority needs is the right-back position, where Montpellier is seeking to regain consistency. Former Montpellier Ruben Aguilar, currently at RC , is a seriously studied prospect. The player would have expressed his desire to return, whatever the sporting context of the MHSC, in Ligue 1 or Ligue 2. However, Aguilar will have to discuss with RC Lens to assess the possibilities linked to his contractual situation before everything can move forward concretely. Injured therefore and not necessarily in Still’s plans, the French international only took part in 5 matches this season.

On the offensive side, the rumor concerning Wissam Ben Yedder has sparked numerous debates. If his name was indeed proposed to the MHSC, and certain internal members of the club were seduced by this idea, hence the leak to the media for a temperature check, president Laurent Nicollin has, for his part, already decided publicly on the subject in the media. He clearly stated that Wissam Ben Yedder will not join Montpellier, extinguishing any possibility in this matter.

To strengthen the wings, the club is exploring the track leading to Keita Baldé. The former Monaco and Inter Milan player was offered to Montpellier, but this option remains expensive and complicated. It is nevertheless being considered due to MHSC’s fears of seeing some of its current wingers leave the club by the end of the transfer window. Other players must therefore be tracked internally.

Finally, Maksimovic’s recent injury pushes the MHSC to consider a defensive reinforcement with a low cost, from a salary point of view. In this context, thanks to the relations maintained with Olympique de , in particular via Jean-Louis Gasset, a loan from Bamo Meïté is hoped for. However, OM would favor a sale, making this possibility uncertain for the moment.
