an undesirable from Les Gones towards

Mahamadou Diawara, young midfielder from Olympique Lyonnais, is on the start. Left out of training by Pierre Sage, the interim coach, and lacking playing time, the player is pushed to look for a new base during this winter transfer window. According to The TeamStade de would have shown a concrete interest in the young Lyonnais by making a first offer.

A proposal of 3.5 million euros rejected

The Champagne club would have submitted an offer estimated at 3.5 million euros on the table of leaders to secure the services of Diawara. A sum which, despite the lack of immediate prospects for the player in Lyon, was considered insufficient. OL, which maintains high expectations for its young talent, hopes to obtain a better valuation, in particular thanks to its contract running until 2028.

A talent to revive

Mahamadou Diawara, trained in Lyon, showed strong potential in the youth categories. However, fierce competition in the squad and a lack of opportunities prevented him from establishing himself in the first team. Reims, known for its project based on the development of young talents, could offer Diawara a favorable environment to relaunch his career.

Negotiations between the two clubs are expected to continue in the coming days. It remains to be seen whether Stade de Reims will come back with an upwardly revised offer to convince the Lyon leaders.

Supporter of En Avant de Guingamp, the best of the Breton clubs, I prefer to meet Yannis Salibur, Cristophe Kerbrat or Jeremy Sorbon rather than Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or Sergio Ramos.
