After making Kevin Danso its priority, the English club Wolverhampton has just reached an agreement with Reims for the purchase of its central defender Emmanuel Agbadou. Enough to put an end to the track leading to the player of the RC Lens ? Not necessarily, even if the Wolves don't really seem to be in the best position.
Indeed, Wolverhampton is looking for this winter not one central defender, but two, according to the English press. In any case, these are the expectations of new manager Vitor Pereira, who came to replace Gary O'Neil. The fact remains that Wolves, 17th and fighting to stay in the Premier League, are not necessarily in a strong position in all negotiations when players are called upon. Moreover, according to Foot Market the Wolves backed away from the difficulty of the operation. And for good reason, the Austrian has not been warm to this interest until now. The conclusion of an agreement with Reims, however, shows the club's ambitions on the transfer market since it will pay around 20 million euros for this purchase.
Fenerbahçe on the lookout
Kevin Danso is in demand, as planned this winter. The name of Everton is also circulating, but the Liverpool club does not offer very attractive sporting ambitions either since it is only one notch higher than Wolverhampton, in 16th position, and therefore provides no guarantee to play in the Premier League next season. In Türkiye, strong interest from Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahçe is also mentioned by the Turkish press while interests persist in Spain and even Italy.
