“The most complicated six months of my career”, Anthony Lopes weighs in on OL

A very (very) long page is turning for Olympique Lyonnais and its supporters. Shelved for several months now, Anthony Lopes was released from his last six months of contract by Olympique Lyonnais in order to find a club. The goalkeeper has joined FC Nantes, which will therefore be his second club. “It was the most complicated six months of my career,” the Portuguese said at a press conference this Thursday before being a little more temperate about his long-time club. “I used it a lot because it allowed me to regenerate mentally and physically, to find a lot of things in myself, to get back on my feet. A little message for Lafont

Arriving at fifteenth in the championship, Anthony Lopes will therefore take the place of the now ex-captain Alban Lafont. “I am fit. There are a lot of things to put back in place, especially over long distances, during matches, before matches… It is only by chaining training and competition that the automatisms will come back gradually.” The Yellow and Green management is therefore pushing the former French international hopeful towards the exit. “We saw each other this Wednesday.
