Official: Seko Fofana joins SRFC
First recruit of the winter, Seko Fofana is committed to Stade Rennes until 2029.
Stade Rennes will not take long to formalize its first recruit. At the start of a winter transfer window which promises to be hectic for it, the Breton club welcomes its first player, Seko Fofana. The midfielder arrives from the Saudi championship, a year and a half after leaving RC Lens.
“Regarding the arrival of Seko, it was thought through in the first days following the arrival of coach Jorge Sampaoli”confides Arnaud Pouille through the club press release. “We are therefore delighted to welcome him today, to properly attack 2025. It is a sign of the desire of the owners and the entire governance to build something radiant for the future of Stade Rennais. Sport ultimately remains based, above all else, on human relationships and trust. And I am very happy to find Seko Fofana here at Stade Rennais. Everyone knows the player but the man also benefits from being known. He starts work today with his new teammates and I am sure that he will quickly integrate into the group and the Rennes territory. »
