Nuno Mendes, his response makes PSG tremble

SG has nothing to worry about regarding its full-backs. Nuno Mendes in particular embodies the future on the left. But the Portuguese is the envy of many clubs in Europe. A craze that does not leave him indifferent.

Paris Saint-Germain undoubtedly has one of the best full-back duos in Europe. With Nuno Mendes on the left and Achraf Hakimi on the right, the Parisian club sets many defenses on fire. Aged 22, the Portuguese international is perhaps PSG's biggest market value. Bought for a total sum of 45 million euros in 2022, the Portuguese is worth much more now. But the Parisian management does not intend to recover money from him. The former Sporting must be one of the pillars of the club in the future. A scenario which however depends on the intentions of the player, under contract with the Blue and Red until 2026.

Mendes hesitates to extend to PSG

Things are not as simple as expected for PSG. Indeed, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Nuno Mendes is hesitant to extend his Parisian lease. He gives himself time to think a little. A strategy due to the great popularity of the Portuguese on the transfer market. “ Paris Saint-Germain wants to extend Nuno Mendes' contract beyond 2026, and everything would be in place for this extension. However, the 22-year-old left-back has no plans to sign at the moment. One of the reasons is that he received many requests from big clubs” published the transfer window specialist before concluding.

“The player intends to take his time to think carefully about his future. As previously reported, Manchester United are monitoring their situation closely. Nevertheless, PSG still has a good chance of obtaining his agreement » estimates the expert from Sky Sports Deutschland. The threat must still be taken seriously for the Parisians, who have already lost Kylian Mbappé without transfer compensation. Remember that Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim launched Nuno Mendes' career at Sporting at just 18 years old.
