Guardiola's astonishing response to the crisis, Haaland reframed

While Manchester City is more than ever in crisis following another defeat at Aston Villa (1-2), Pep Guardiola surprised after the meeting. The Spanish manager gave a surprisingly positive speech after the match, simply putting the defeat down to the lack of efficiency of his troops. “We struggled a bit and weren't able to press them well. We scored a goal at the end (Foden, 90th + 3), but it was too late. We struggled to score and we conceded goals. We have great personalities in the team and, sooner or later, we will find them again,” said Guardiola.

Guardiola saw a good first half

The Spanish manager who notably considered that his team's first period was completed, out of step with an overall record that was nevertheless very disappointing. “We had a very good first half. We slowed down in the second half. We changed our pressing because John (Stones) could not continue (injured, editor’s note).”

Pep Guardiola who also reframed Erling Haaland. While the Norwegian dared to make a frank mea culpa about his performances, the Spanish manager once again gave an astonishing speech. “I don’t agree with him. He tried, but he needs to get the balls to the right place. I respect that he questions himself, because that’s how we progress,” said the Spanish manager.
