PSG: Singo and Hütter sanctioned after the shock

On Wednesday evening, Saint-Germain achieved a big blow in the advanced match of the 16th day of Ligue 1 as they dominated AS Monaco in the championship clash with a score of four goals to two. A victory which allows the three-time reigning French champion to take ten points ahead of ASM and to come closer than ever to a fourth title in a row and the thirteenth in its history. One of the highlights of this meeting was Wilfried Singo's foot which directly hit Gianluigi Donnarumma's face.

A match for Singo and Hütter!

An action which got people talking since the Monegasque did not even collect a card for this act of play. He had nevertheless received a warning earlier in the game, which earned him a suspension from the commission of discipline for accumulation of yellow cards. As a result of all this, the Ivorian will miss the Champions Trophy on June 3…against PSG. But that's not all since Adi Hütter will also be absent after being suspended against Paris two days ago.

After the meeting, the Austrian did not fail to be fatalistic and insisted on defending Wilfried Singo: “First of all, everyone saw a big match, with a lot of intensity, two teams playing forward. We were very good and very courageous in the second half, picking up the score. But they came back too quickly and we have to defend better from set pieces. We're really disappointed, but we can't blame the players for what they showed. If the Championship is folded? We must congratulate Paris-SG on their victory. I don't know if it's over. I take care of my team. We are ten points behind them, but we have our own objectives. We must remain humble, while being ambitious. On the blow received by Donnarumma? I was too far away. I apologize to him, but it happens in football, it was not intentional on the part of Wilfried Singo, he wanted to jump on top of him. It was also hard for Wilfred to see what he had done to her. It happens in football.”
