A few days before the start of the winter transfer window, on January 1, Luis Enrique would be keen to inject new blood into his squad and particularly in the offensive sector. The objective would be to get your hands on a rather versatile full-back according to L’Équipe.
Visiting a press conference on Tuesday, as part of the trip PSG this Wednesday evening on the lawn of Louis II to face it’AS Monaco, Luis Enrique subtly communicated a wish to the management of the Paris Saint–Germain as the winter transfer window approaches which will open on January 1st.
Luis Enrique wants total competition
“I would like to have two players at each position who are starters, and for there to be real competition. I have that with the three goalkeepers, they are ready to play (…) For me, the basis, to grow as a team, is above all this idea that the players do not know if they are going to play or not . That if they relax a little too much, that someone else can play in their place.” Luis Enrique therefore does not hide its desire to establish competition at each position in its workforce.
Luis Enrique opens the door for a full-back striker with some versatility
A speech that he also seems to be holding behind the scenes. If we are to believe the information communicated by The Team, Luis Enrique would expect from the sports advisor Luis Campos and from the management of PSG a versatile side player in the offensive sector. Which would at the same time undermine the playing time of Kang–In Lee yet appreciated by the Spanish coach, but this would be his wish.
