Paris Saint-Germain beat Olympique Lyonnais in a somewhat tense context for a while (3-1). A fight started between Georges Mikautadze and Gianluigi Donnarumma during the match.
What happened to cause Gianluigi Donnarumma to spiral to this extent? The answer came from Georges Mikautadze himself. The Georgia international explained why the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper violently pushed him after scoring.
“It’s nothing, it’s nothing, I laughed a little and he took it a little badly. I went to see him and I told him that it made me happy to score him a goal.” Mikautadze simply explained in the mixed zone. Proof of his good faith, the Rhone star did not wish to add more to the action. Despite Donnarumma's bad gestures, he remained very calm.
After a very complicated start in Lyon, Mikautadze is doing better and is satisfying. He has just scored four goals in the last six matches he has played in all competitions. Aligned at the forefront in place of Alexandre Lacazette, the Rhone striker was not unworthy. His dive against Donnarumma is quite incredible.
His place is clearly not assured in the OL squad after the winter transfer window, however. The club's financial setbacks could push Lyon to part with him to replenish the coffers. The Premier League is watching it closely.
