Captain of OL, Alexandre Lacazette is perhaps one of the elements best placed to discuss the progress of his team. Without getting excited, he gives some explanations for the current good period.

By beating Frankfurt on Thursday (3-2), OL extended their unbeaten streak to nine games in all competitions. A good period which finds its source in various explanations, both tactical, physical, even mental. It is through these three means that Peter's men Sage were able to recover from a complicated start to the season to now display ambitions for the Champions League and top 8 in the Europa League.

Friday, Alexander Lacazette gave some clues to explain the current dynamics of the Rhodanians. “We see that we are better in the game. We knew that by playing well, victories would follow. Today, we have more fun on the pitch, and that's the main thing. As a team, we listen a lot more to the coach, we are more diligent in following instructions, confided the captain of Olympique Lyonnais. Efficiency in front of goal has also returned. We can still do better on this point, but at the moment, things are going well. We had a period during which we were criticized, and as I said, it turned around. Good for us and I hope it stays that way.”

Now, it is also important to remain measured. There is still a long way to go and pitfalls to overcome before seeing the club again in C1 for example. “We are enjoying the present moment, we are having good results, but despite everything, I don't feel a big change in the locker room. Even when we didn't necessarily win, I didn't feel any stress, assured the center forward. The group lives well, we remain ourselves, without getting fired up.”
