The standoff between Kylian Mbappé and the PSG has just experienced a new twist. While the attacker Real Madrid has seized the disciplinary committee of the LFP to be reimbursed 55 million euros, he has just been rejected.
Mbappé-PSG dispute: Mbappé sees his request against PSG rejected
Kylian Mbappé has just suffered a setback in his standoff with PSG. The French striker, who is still demanding from the capital club a sum of 55 million euros in bonuses and unpaid salaries, saw his request for referral to the LFP disciplinary committee rejected. The reason for this rejection is purely procedural.
Indeed, Paris Saint-Germain contested before the civil courts the previous decisions which had ruled in favor of the Bondynois. As long as this procedure is in progress, the disciplinary committee cannot intervene. “The Disciplinary Regulations of the LFP give authority to the Disciplinary Commission to impose sanctions in the event of non-execution of a decision against which no appeal is initiated”recalls the LFP in a press release before specifying:
“The Commission was contacted in this context by Mr. Kylian MBAPPE, following the decisions rendered by the Legal Commission and the Joint Appeals Commission. Paris Saint-Germain having since taken the LFP to the Paris Judicial Court, with a view to obtaining the annulment of these two decisions, the Disciplinary Commission concluded that the referral made by Mr. Kylian MBAPPE was inadmissible..
This new twist further complicates an already tense situation between the player and his former club. Mbappé, who left PSG this summer to join Real Madrid, seems determined to recover the sums he believes are owed to him. For its part, PSG continues to defend its position and denies any contractual breach.
