AS Saint-Étienne was still able to count on the support of its away supporters, despite catastrophic results outside of Geoffroy-Guichard.
There were several hundred people who went to Roazhon Park during the 13th day of the French Ligue 1 Championship. Initially, the Prefecture of Ille-et-Vilaine wanted to limit the trip to just over 500 supporters. AS Saint-Étienne finally obtained an extension, allowing just over 700 supporters to travel.
There were exactly 691 of them filling the area reserved for visitors in Rennes. This is only the fourth best attendance in the park since the start of the season, the record still being held by the first match played in Monaco (1 184 supporters).
In total, 4,264 Greens supporters “officially” came to support Sainté this season. If the Greens played seven away matches, only six were able to travel, the one to the Lyon side being prohibited by prefectural and ministerial decision. Thus, an average of 711 supporters of the Forez club take their place outside to encourage theirs. Support which has not yet borne fruit. The last trip of the year will take the Stéphanois to the Pink City and the Toulouse Stadium.
