al-Khelaïfi still targeted by insulting banners at Bayern

Qatar is still not unanimous in Europe. Last week, Saint-Germain traveled to Bayern Munich for the fifth day of the first phase of the Champions League. On this occasion, Bavarian supporters decided to attack Nasser al-Khelaïfi, the boss of the capital's club, with a different banner. First of all, we could see his crossed out face accompanied by a message in French, then in English: “football is me?” then “F*ck off plutocratic Al-Khelaïfi”. Later in the match, another appeared with a bloody message: “Minister, club owner, rights holders, UEFA board member, ECA president, all in one?”

The next day, German leaders apologized to the Qatari: “FC Bayern would like to apologize when its opponents and their representatives in its stadium feel personally attacked in this way and in this tone and feel offended. These banners do not were not authorized by FC Bayern and do not reflect its position. They do not correspond to the long-standing good relations between the two clubs. The tone of these banners also goes against the style of FC Bayern and the relationship. respectful that the club maintains with its international partners”, we could read in this press release.

“Review your priorities”

But yesterday, during the German Cup clash between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, the southern corner, the liveliest of the Allianz Arena, decided to do it again: “Distancing yourself from the corner to court the enemies of football ?Reconsider your priorities, FCB. Fuck off Khelaifi. Fuck off PSG” we could read this time in the Südkurve. A war which finds its roots in particular in a change of sponsor of the club when the airline Qatar Airways took the place of the German Lufthansa to appear on the jersey. We should therefore logically be entitled to new apologies from leaders.
