Barred by competition from Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho at Chelsea, the Ukrainian could well end the season in the north of England.
Chelsea are reportedly considering letting Mykhailo Mudryk go on loan during the winter transfer window, with Newcastle reportedly one of the clubs interested. Recruited in January 2023 for a record fee of 100 million euros (bonus included) after eclipsing Arsenal in the race for his signature, the 23-year-old Ukrainian winger failed to win at Stamford Bridge.
The ideal choice?
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe could see Mudryk as an alternative to Anthony Gordon, whose recent form has declined slightly. A loan would be a low-cost option for the Magpies, who have not made big investments this summer but look set to strengthen their squad this winter.
Mudryk, despite irregular performances, has given a glimpse of his potential, particularly in the Europa Conference League. A move to Newcastle, under Howe, could allow him to relaunch his Premier League career and regain the confidence needed to fully exploit his qualities.
