Payet's incredible gesture for two Marseillais in Brazil

Dimitri Payet, former emblematic captain of Olympique de Marseille, offered a nice surprise to two Marseille supporters traveling to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The latter, wishing to attend a Vasco de Gama match, the former French international's current club, had launched an appeal on social networks to obtain tickets: “we are 2 Marseille supporters in Rio and we have no possibility to go to the Vasco da Gama match of @dimpayet17 on 11/30… if anyone is close to Payet can you contact them or RT so they can help us get tickets, thank you #TeamOM”, we could read on their X account.

And their message was heard by the principal concerned, who took the initiative to respond to them directly. He not only facilitated their access to the stadium for the match against Atlético Clube Goianiense, but also took the time to meet them after the match. Despite a draw (2-2) and Payet only coming into play in the second half, the experience was unforgettable for both fans. Between the Brazilian atmosphere, a souvenir photo with the French international and the generosity of the player, this moment will remain engraved in their memories. A gesture which reflects Payet's closeness to his supporters, even thousands of kilometers from Marseille. The two fans also shared the exchanges with the former Marseille player as well as the photos taken after the meeting: “I just saw your message and it is impossible for me not to make two Marseille supporters love it in Rio. so do what is necessary to get you two places for Saturday's match,” said the Reunion Islander.
