MHSC-: after the expulsions, how prepares its defense before the disciplinary committee

Excluded on Sunday during the MHSC draw against (2-2), coach Jean-Louis Gasset and his player Tanguy Coulibaly will experience their sanction this Wednesday, December 4.

The tension has subsided. From now on, is waiting to find out. Three days after the courageous draw against Lille at La Mosson (2-2) and the tensions which marred the meeting, the Hérault club faces the LFP disciplinary committee this Wednesday at the end of the day.

The body has two expulsions and as many cases before it: that of coach Jean-Louis Gasset, excluded from his bench in the 86th minute, and that of Tanguy Coulibaly, sent to the locker room in added time for having hit the ball on the northern coach, Bruno Genesio.

“I had no right”

In the case of the Pailladin coach, the report from referee Benoît Millot will be decisive. And according to our information, the man in black would not have been kind when writing this piece sent to the MHSC on Monday.

Jean-Louis Gasset lost his temper after a foul reported right in front of him against Rabby Nzingoula. Anodyne but to the disadvantage of the Héraultais, it was above all part of a global context of decisions perceived as unfavorable. “I just went to see Mr. Millot, I went to apologize, I told him that I had no right”explained the Montpellier coach after the meeting. “We are down 2-1, we are preparing the changes to play it all out and the slightest mistake makes me lose my temper a little, he added. I went and apologized, I said I had no right to be so angry.”

Gasset will defend himself

Was the official receptive to this mea-culpa? Jean-Louis Gasset should in any case plead his case alongside Philippe Delaye, sports coordinator of the club, before the commission by videoconference this Wednesday.

If the MHSC has planned its argument, the extent of the sanction, on the other hand, is difficult to know with certainty. In , coach Éric Roy was suspended for three matches for an outburst against at the end of September. But was only banned for one meeting after throwing his cap in anger in Monaco on November 22.

One thing is certain, Gasset will give up his place at the edge of the pitch to his assistant Ghislain Printant, this Sunday in . The latter will have to do without Nzingoula, whose suspension for three warnings was already known, and therefore Tanguy Coulibaly. Against Losc, before being excluded with his opponent Bakker, the winger was at the origin of a nice scuffle for having hit the ball on Genesio. Intentionally or not, this will certainly be the subject of the hearing.
