OM Mercato: the three good reasons to recruit Sacha Boey this winter

For this winter, OM leaders are targeting Bayern Munich right-back Sacha Boey.

According to information from our colleagues at L'Équipe, Olympique de would be interested in Bayern Munich right-back Sacha Boey with a view to the winter transfer window and would have very recently received information about the former Rennais. Here are three good reasons for the Marseille club to recruit the 24-year-old Frenchman.

OM must recruit a right back, and quickly!

We have seen it since the start of the season, Marseille needs a starting right back, Amir Murillo and Pol Lirola not giving full satisfaction. The Panamanian and the Spaniard are, at best, simple doubles. The Marseille leaders made the mistake of not recruiting a right-back last summer, they must not make the same mistake during the winter transfer window. A player capable of assuming the starting position on the right wing of the Marseille defense must therefore arrive at OM this winter.

Boey has undeniable qualities

Arriving in January 2024 at Bayern Munich, Sacha Boey is struggling to establish himself in Bavaria, having only played 5 small matches in all competitions in the Bavarian jersey. But the 24-year-old is loaded with talent. We saw him in then in Galatasaray. Very aggressive, Sacha Boey knows how to attack and defend well, therefore compiling all the qualities of a modern full-back.

Boey is open to leaving OM

Despite being Parisian by birth, because he was born in , Sacha Boey is open to leaving for Marseille, as he confided in an interview given to Média Carré in November 2023. During this interview, the former Rennais announced that he would be ready to play for OM. “You are Parisian, is playing for OM possible? Yes, there are some who have done it. There are many who do it,” he replied.
