Several LOSC executives were booked during the match against Montpellier. Mitchel Bakker faces a long suspension after his expulsion.
LOSC: Mitchel Bakker suspended for the Lille-Stade Brestois clash
LOSC conceded a draw (2-2) against Montpellier last weekend for the 13th day of Ligue 1. Tensions marred the meeting and several Lille players were warned. LOSC saw six of its players sanctioned, including Mitchel Bakker, excluded for a violent gesture.
The Dutchman risks a heavy sanction from the disciplinary committee. He will miss the match against Stade Brestois this Friday at the opening of the 14th day of the French championship. The disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League will meet this Wednesday to rule on his case. The LOSC technician, Bruno Genesio will have to cope without his Dutch nugget to face the Brestois.
Alexsandro and Matias Fernandez-Pardo, already warned before, are also in danger of suspension. Other Lille residents, such as Thomas Meunier, Jonathan David and Aïssa Mandi, are in the same situation. They will have to avoid receiving a yellow card during the match against Stade Brestois for fear of being suspended for a match for accumulating yellow cards.
